Date Set For Kobe Bryant To Have His Jersey Retired

It appears retired L.A. Lakers all-star shooting guard Kobe Bryant won’t have to wait very long at all to see his jersey retired. Unofficial reports are that the Lakers have already picked out a date for the occasion — December 18 at the Staple Centers as the team takes on the Golden State Warriors.

TMZ broke the story earlier today (September 12) with word that the Lakers would be retiring, not one, but both of his jerseys— #8 and #24.
Ticket prices for the game are already skyrocketing. Bryant who won five NBA championships during his 20-year tenure with the Lakers, played his final NBA game on April 13, 2016 against the Utah Jazz, scoring a season-high 60 points.
